Coaching
Finch facts
I have been involved in Triathlon for over 15years experiencing triathlon at every level
from amateur to professional.
Coupled with my own experiences, I have also gained extensive coaching experience through a full-time coaching
position which I held in a prominant French triathlon club between 2001 and 2005. The club included all ages and all levels
from kids of the age 7-8years up to senior veterans. I also have internationally recognized official coaching qualifications
which I completed whilst within my coaching position in France.
At present I am focussing on Ironman-distance events with relative success whilst holding a full-time
(40hrs/week) job, so I have a very good understanding of all levels of triathlon competition and how to incorporate
that into daily lives wether it be full or part-time training. I would love to use what I have learnt to help
others achieve their goals wether it be Kona or just a local sprint triathlon.

Finch philosophy
Everything in moderation is the key to success.
Training and competing in Triathlon can turn you into an obsessive, milage-counting training slave and it is very
easy to become an athlete that races to train rather than trains to race. Keep things focussed and structured around
your objective and have a goal for every session that you do.
Over the years I have learnt that an effective training programme can mean training less but racing harder. I can
tailor your training to your specific needs, eliminating 'waste' mileage and bringing you to your goals more quickly.
I have now completed four Ironmans, three have been 9hrs20 or less and I did this with an average training week of 12-15hrs.
I might not be able to guarentee the same results for everyone but I can guarentee that with a structured, focussed program
your goals will become very accessible.
